Doctorow’s novel, following three fictional families in pursuit of the American Dream at the dawn of the 20th Century. Power and passion collide in this iconic musical, set at the World Chess Championship during the Cold War. For the two players and the woman caught between them, everything is on the line, and no one plays by the same rules. Aaron Tveit, Lea Michele and Nicholas Christopher lead this Broadway revival, which features an exhilarating score by ABBA’s Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus and Tim Rice.
