A disturbing look inside paranoia.
"This is an unforgettable piece of theater. It will take you on a trip with completely unexpected twists and turns into the lives of some peripheral characters who credibly show their uncontrollable vulnerability. The actors are at the top of their game: controlled and explosive. The set design is also worthy of awards. Don’t miss the opportunity to see this incredibly well crafted and acted work. "

Brace yourself
"Frightening, hilarious, paranoid, and surreal. Tracy Letts’ play is brilliant. Full of unexpected twists and turns until you and the characters are buried deep in a world of hidden and destructive conspiracies. Even as the ending will leave you in shock you’ll jump to your feet for a resounding standing ovation. "

Do Not Miss This One
"Loved everything about it. The stage design was beautiful. Incredible acting and writing. Made the audience laugh out loud multiple times. At the same time, it managed to be incredibly shocking and intense. Huge props to the 5 actors for doing such an amazing job. "

Hell of a ride
"Whether you’re already a fan of the play or are going in blind, let Mr Letts, Carrie Coon and Namir Smallwood take you on this journey. A wild play that ultimately is about two lonely people looking for connection, who take some wrong and interesting turns to find it."

Best Play I’ve Seen
"It was a beautiful performance by all the actors and stagehands. It was definitely an adult show for obvious reasons, but it was worth every minute. The show started at 7:15pm and ran for roughly 2 hours, including the 15 minute intermission. It was funny, but was also dark and serious. The sound was perfect too and only loud when necessary to help with the story. The set design was wonderful too. The characters were relatable and the actors did a wonderful job touching into the personalities of each character. I would definitely recommend this show to anyone who likes thrillers and darker stories and would not recommend anyone under the age of 18 to watch this show. Again, this is an amazing show and I’m just wowed at how well every piece of the story was, including the casting and the behind the scenes."

Very Strange
"The actors in this play were wonderful. Those said, I thought that the script was strange, not exciting, not believable, and overall not a great experience. I am anything but a prude, but thought the nudity was gratuitous and unnecessary to convey the relationship and actions of the main characters. Just not my copy of tea. "

A Very Confusing Bug Play
"Very Buggy and Confusing! Was not to my or my friends liking! | guess we prefer a play with a solid plot. The plot in Bug was kind of all over the place and not very understandable! Lots of unexplained connections that added to our confusion. The acting was good which is the one positive thing about the play. Sadly it was a big disappointment and I do not recommend this play. Paranoia. Meh?
"While the acting was fine (perhaps a bit over-the-top at times), the play itself does not convey any deep insights into the diagnosis. As a true fan of Ms. Coons, I was sorely disappointed"

About Bug

From Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Tracy Letts (August: Osage County) and Tony Award-winning director David Cromer (Prayer for the French RepublicThe Band's Visit) comes the Broadway premiere of Steppenwolf’s acclaimed staging of a cult classic about an unexpected and intense romance between a lonely waitress and a mysterious drifter. What begins as a simple connection between two broken people in a seedy Oklahoma motel room twists into something far more dangerous. When reality slips out of grasp, paranoia, delusion, and conspiracy take over in this sexy psychological thriller. The New York Times warns, "Buckle up and brace yourself because Bug is obscenely exciting."
